Britt lashes out at Brook Lynn General Hospital

At General Hospital, Britt leaves an annoyed message for Anna about her missing mother. Brook Lynn approaches and tells her about the tension between Olivia and Ned over Leo’s medical status. She asks if it was a problem for Austin to mention the child may have autism to her. The doctor assumes she knows it is and is playing her. Brook Lynn is eager to tell a disciplinary board that Austin crossed the line. Olivia and Leo appear in time to hear this. After Britt walks off, a nurse takes Leo to the pediatrician. Liv asks BLQ if Austin really thinks her son has autism. BLQ explains she deliberately got the doctor to break medical confidentiality so she could use it against him. Liv wonders if Brook Lynn is using her son and accuses her of putting the company before her family.

At the nurses’ station, Scott and Britt discuss Liesl. Anna has been no help so he suggests they turn to Jason. She refuses and wouldn’t even know how to ask anyways. When Scott walks off, she calls Austin and orders him over. Scott returns and suggests they talk to Mac Scorpio. She insists Mac needs to look out for Maxie. The doctor offers to think about talking to Jason. Austin arrives and Britt shows him into her office.

Before he can leave, she hands him the watch that “Mike” left in Nixon Falls. It was his father’s. He never thought he’d see it again. He threw it away because he thought it was keeping him tied to his old life. Sonny says he wants to forgive her, but hasn’t yet. She explains Phyllis found the watch just in time, much like he walked in on Carly and Jason before they could consummate their marriage. After he leaves, Ava shows up to ask Nina about her double life.

Sonny arrives at his office and finds Jason has returned his old chair. Sitting down, he admits Jason and Carly have been on his mind…

On the next General Hospital: Sonny asks Jason what would have happened if he hadn’t walked in and Ava tells Nina she and Sonny still have a chance.

General Hospital Preview: Will It Be Redemption or Revenge for Nina When She Comes Face-To-Face With Phyllis and Sonny?

Will Carly and Jason come clean with her husband and his best friend?

In the preview for General Hospital for the week of October 11 – 15, the truth about what happened while Sonny was gone is about to be faced. Read on for the scoop and watch the teaser video.

Carly confronted Britt last week to have a discussion about the fact that her marriage to Jason was going to be real. Britt has already made it clear she’s not taking Jason back and continuing playing second to Carly, and the doctor outright accuses Carly of lying about something. We are betting that is the little fact that Sonny still doesn’t know the marriage wasn’t only about the business. It must leave Carly feeling conflicted because Jason reminds her that they thought Sonny was dead for nine months.

Meanwhile, there is the problem of Sonny’s life as “Mike,” which he hasn’t completely been honest with Carly about. Jax, one of the few people who knew about “Mike” and Nina, reminds him of the other life he lived and left behind. Phyllis’ arrival with some of “Mike’s” things gave Carly a glimpse at that simpler life, but she still has no idea how involved he was with Nina. Phyllis decided to stick around Port Charles for the time being as she has unfinished business with Nina as well. As the two come face-to-face, Sonny interrupts their meeting. It’s sure to be an episode that can’t be missed!

Soap simple truth

Why the Kyrie Irving News Does Not Matter

Lost in all the hubbub about Irving’s jab-lessness and subsequent leave of absence is a simple truth: this isn’t actually important. Although Irving is once again providing soap opera-y grist for NBA Twitter, the Brooklyn Nets are functionally disaster-proof—it’s immaterial whether Kyrie plays 82 games or 41 or zero. The Nets have assembled such an insane amount of talent that their virtuosity produces something like basketball nihilism. In fact, short of every ligament in both James Harden’s and Kevin Durant’s bodies snapping like rubber bands, the Nets are so good, nothing really matters.

Last year, Irving dropped any pretense of being a “traditional” point guard and emerged as the NBA’s most dangerous and stylish scoring guard, posting nearly 27 points per game on all-history efficiency. This year, the Nets are still the overwhelming title favorites while Irving remains exiled in an Elba of his own creation. Even after the Nets announced that Irving wouldn’t be allowed to join the team in any capacity until he gets vaccinated (the state of New York already mandated that only vaccinated Nets could play at Barclays Center), their championship odds remained practically unchanged, slipping from +195 to +200.

Since trading for James Harden last winter, the beauty of the Nets has been their stars’ extreme self-reliance. Whereas other players require certain situations to thrive (see: the brouhaha over the Ben Simmons/Joel Embiid fit), the Nets are almost context-agnostic. In Houston, Harden operated as a one-man offense, conjuring a string of top-ten outfits despite largely sharing the court with non-dribbling unitaskers. Similarly, Durant’s brand of scoring seems closer to golf than it does to basketball—Durant is so tall and so skilled that defenders practically melt away, leaving him playing against himself; against Milwaukee in last year’s playoffs, Durant nearly single-handedly defeated the Bucks while Irving nursed an ankle injury and Harden  gimped through the back half of the series after missing the first four games.

Beyond Durant and Harden, the Nets will be able to absorb Irving’s lost production by committee. By dint of Durant and Harden not really being guardable and demanding constant defensive attention, the flaws of Brooklyn’s supporting cast evaporate. Whereas Bruce Brown was once a guard who couldn't really shoot or dribble, suddenly, he was reinvented as a quasi-center, setting screens and lurking in the dunker spot. Before coming to Brooklyn, Blake Griffin hadn’t dunked in an NBA game for 464 days; as a Net, he rediscovered enough oomph to hang with the Bucks’ massive frontcourt in the playoffs. The Nets place such cognitive stress on defenses that any minor lapses quickly compound into major breakdowns. Trap a James Harden pick-and-roll too aggressively and Bruce Brown will slip into open space on the short roll against an outnumbered defense. Close out too tightly on Kevin Durant and watch the Nets’ drive-and-kick attack quickly animate with whirring motion.

While the Nets’ Big Three is obviously best at full-strength, there are diminishing returns on each of their considerable individual talents when the three are stacked together; as long as the Nets had at least one of Durant, Harden or Irving on the court, they scored at a rate at least equivalent to the NBA’s best offense of all time per PBP Stats—and when Durant and Harden played together, the Nets averaged 124.61 points per 100 possessions, a clownishly good figure. Moreover, according to Cleaning the Glass, the Nets were only 1.9 points per 100 possessions better when Irving was on the court than when he was on the bench (for what it’s worth, Harden was only +0.9 per 100 possessions); when the baseline level of performance is already so historically high, the presence of even more talent is just gilding on the lily.

In this sense, the very idea of adding Harden to this mix wasn’t to raise their ceiling; rather, Harden fortified their floor, offering insurance against Durant’s and Irving’s general injured-ness and flakiness. With or without Irving, the Nets are the best team in the Eastern Conference, if not the entire NBA. Something gold can stay.

She was the host of Soapnet's talk show Soap Talk (2002–2006), for which she earned four Emmy nominations for Outstanding Talk Show Host.[2] Rinna has also written three books: Starlit; The Big, Fun, Sexy Sex Book; and The New York Times best-seller Rinnavation. Her other ventures include a fashion line for QVC named The Lisa Rinna Collection [3] and the cosmetics collection Rinna Beauty.[4]

Early life[edit]

Lisa Rinna was born on July 11, 1963[5] in Newport Beach, California, as the daughter of Lois and Frank Rinna.[6][7] She is of Italian, Portuguese, and English descent.[8] When Lisa was seven, her family relocated to Medford, Oregon, when her father was transferred there for job-related reasons, and she spent the remainder of her childhood there.[7][9] Rinna graduated from Medford Senior High School in 1981.[7] After graduating, Rinna moved to San Francisco, California, to pursue a career as a model.[7] She started her career by appearing in commercials. "I think I got my SAG card doing a Mervyn's commercial,” she told the Los Angeles Times.[10]

Career[edit]

Acting[edit]

At age 21, Rinna appeared in the music video for John Parr's single "Naughty Naughty," as the passenger in Parr's car. Rinna later appeared as the girlfriend of Jason Bateman's character in several episodes of The Hogan Family in 1990. In 1992, she first received national recognition when she originated the character of Billie Reed on NBC's Days of Our Lives. She departed in 1995, though she has reprised the role in 2002, 2012, and 2018. She later switched from daytime to primetime, portraying Taylor McBride on Aaron Spelling's Melrose Place from 1996 to 1998. Rinna has starred in two projects opposite husband Harry Hamlin, the teen crime-drama Veronica Mars, and the Lifetime television film Sex, Lies & Obsession. Her previous Lifetime film, Another Woman's Husband, boasted one of the highest ratings for a movie on Lifetime since 1999.[11] In 2001, Rinna played the role of Veronica Simpson in the comedy film Good Advice (2001) alongside Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards.

From June to July 2007, Rinna starred in the Broadway production of Chicago, in the role of Roxie Hart, alongside her husband, who played the role of Billy Flynn.[12] In 2007, she portrayed Donna Devaney on HBO's Entourage, in the episode "Malibooty"'. In 2008, she appeared in Disney Channel's musical comedy television series Hannah Montana, in the role of Mr. Dontzig's cousin Francesca. She also guest-starred on an episode of Movie Stars for the WB, the first-ever on-screen appearance she shared opposite her husband. In 2009, Rinna stated that she would love to reprise her role of Taylor McBride on the CW's revival Melrose Place, if given the offer;[11] however, the series was cancelled after only one season. In 2011, Rinna guest-starred on Nickelodeon's Big Time Rush as Brooke Diamond. Later that year, it was confirmed that Rinna would again reprise the role of Billie Reed on Days of Our Lives. She reported to work in December, with her first scenes airing March 9, 2012.[13][14] However, in August 2012, it was confirmed by The Huffington Post that Rinna would once again leave the soap to develop a panel-focused talk show.[15] She had guest roles in several television series, including C.S.I., The Hotwives of Las Vegas, The Guest Book, Awkward. and This Close.

Hosting and reality television[edit]

From 2002 to 2006, Rinna was the host of Soap Talk, the daily lifestyle show that aired on Soapnet, for which she received four Daytime Emmy Award nominations.[16] In 2006, Rinna competed in the second season of Dancing with the Stars with professional dancer Louis van Amstel. She was eliminated in round seven based on audience voting, despite having higher marks from the judges than fellow celebrity dancer Jerry Rice.[17] In August 2007, Rinna replaced Joan Rivers as the host of TV Guide Network's red carpet coverage. In addition to subsequently guest-hosting Live with Regis and Kelly, Rinna also hosted the TV makeover program Merge on Lifetime.

In 2008, TV Guide reported that Rinna and Hamlin had signed a deal to create a reality television series based on their family life.[18] The series, titled Harry Loves Lisa, premiered on TV Land on October 6, 2010, and ran for 6 episodes. In 2010, she was also featured as a guest judge on the fourth episode of the second season of RuPaul's Drag Race. In 2011, Rinna participated in season 4 of The Celebrity Apprentice. She was eliminated after being the project manager on the second task, writing and performing a children's book. Rinna returned to the show in its sixth season as one of the "All-Stars" contestants. After being eliminated from that roster, she appeared on the May 13, 2013 episode of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon with Lil Jon to talk about their time on the show. In 2014, she was one of the contestants on ABC's game show Sing Your Face Off.

In 2014, Rinna joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for the show's fifth season.[19]Los Angeles Times wrote that since joining the show, "she's endeared herself to viewers with her self-deprecating attitude—poking fun at herself, including her enhanced lips and the haircut she's sported for decades. And she's had a hand in some of the show's most memorable moments."[10]

Modeling[edit]

In 1998, Rinna, while six months pregnant with Delilah Belle Hamlin, the first of Harry Hamlin's and her two daughters, posed for a nude pictorial ("Melrose Mom," its title, paid tribute to her role in Melrose Place) and cover shoot for the September issue of Playboy magazine. She later recounted the instructions given to her by Playboy photographer Deborah Anderson: "'I do not want you long and sinewy and angular and muscular. I want you soft...' This was really hard for me because being 35 years old and posing for Playboy, you want to amp it up."[20] In May 2009, she posed again for Playboy and, this time, was also its cover model.[21][22]

She has also graced the covers of CVLUX, Living Well, Soap Opera Magazine and Soap Opera Digest.[23][24] Rinna has appeared in commercials and print ads throughout her career. In 2008, she appeared in print ads for Mars Inc's M&M candies with Joey Fatone as part of the "There's an M&M in everyone" advertising campaign.[25] In 2012, Rinna appeared in an infomercial for abdominal muscle toner "The Flex Belt" alongside Adrianne Curry, Denise Richards and Janet Evans. She has appeared in a television commercial for Taco Bell and infomercial for Winsor Pilates.[25] In 2012 to benefit the charity Dress for Success, she modeled an adult incontinence brief made by Depend under a tight-fitting evening gown.[26] She appeared in print ads and commercials for Depend and,[27] according to reports, Depend paid her $2 million to be their celebrity spokesperson.[28] In September 2019, she walked the runway for Kyle Richards' and Shahida Clayton's new women's clothing brand at New York Fashion Week.[29]

In 2008, she released a series of workout videos called Dance Body Beautiful.[30][31]

Fashion[edit]

Rinna and her husband Harry Hamlin jointly owned the Belle Gray clothing boutique in Sherman Oaks, California in 2011.[32] They closed the store in 2012 because, by then, both had grown too busy with their respective acting careers to manage it.[33] In June 2019, Rinna launched an activewear collaboration with retailer Goldsheep.[34] Proceeds from the collaboration benefited The Trevor Project, a national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide-prevention services to LGBTQ youth.[34]

QVC[edit]

In April 2012, Rinna brought her collection to QVC as the Lisa Rinna Collection, which has been a success.[35]

Cosmetics[edit]

In September 2020, Rinna announced that she will be launching Rinna Beauty,[36] with its lip kits named Birthday Suit, Legends Only, and No Apologies.

Personal life[edit]

Rinna married actor Harry Hamlin on March 29, 1997, in Beverly Hills, California.[37] The couple have two daughters, Delilah Belle (born June 10, 1998) and Amelia Gray (born June 13, 2001).[38][39] Rinna is also stepmother to Hamlin's son Dimitri Alexander from his relationship with Ursula Andress.

She has acknowledged having plastic surgery and having silicone, Botox and Juvéderm injections. Although she remains fond of Botox, she has said that using Juvéderm was a mistake.[40]

By the early 2000s, most of his acting credits were guest appearances, reality television, and budget films. Sabàto ran unsuccessfully as the Republican candidate for U.S. Congress against incumbent Democratic Congresswoman Julia Brownley for California's 26th district in the 2018 elections.[1][2]

Modeling[edit]

Sabàto was featured on the cover of erotic magazine Playgirl in April 1993.[11] Represented in Los Angeles by fashion agent Omar Albertto,[12] Sabàto first gained attention as a Calvin Klein underwear model in 1996. In 1990, he appeared in Janet Jackson's "Love Will Never Do (Without You)" music video along with actor Djimon Hounsou, who is also a former CK underwear model represented by Albertto. In 2013, Sabàto was named the international celebrity spokesperson for AnastasiaDate, an online mail-order bride website which connects wealthy American older men with Eastern European women.[13][14]

Moving into acting, from 1992 through 1995 he appeared on the soap operaGeneral Hospital, the science fiction series Earth 2 and the prime time soap opera Melrose Place. Throughout the late 1990s, he starred in various TV movies and direct-to-video films, as well as a supporting role in the 1998 feature film The Big Hit. In 2003, he played the protagonist's lover Pablo in the movie Testosterone, filmed in Argentina with Sonia Braga, David Sutcliffe, Jennifer Coolidge, Celina Font and Leonardo Brezicki. From 2005 to 2006, Sabàto played Dante Damiano on the daytime soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful, and in 2008, Sabàto reprised his role as Jagger Cates on the second season of General Hospital: Night Shift.[15] Sabàto made an appearance on Bones as a bouncer from a Jersey Shore club in season 6, episode 3, "The Maggots in the Meathead" in 2010.[16] In 2013, he played Father Zaragosa in the television series The League.[citation needed] Sabàto is set to direct, produce and star in an upcoming project called Trail Blazers, which reportedly is the first in the line of other films he hopes to produce for his upcoming film studio called Trail Blazers Pictures. The film costars fellow Donald Trump supporters Kristy Swanson, Kevin Sorbo, Dean Cain, and Scott Baio.[17]

Dancing[edit]

In 2016, Sabàto was contracted to be a Chippendales dancer for a special engagement in June at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.[18]

Reality television[edit]

In 2005, Sabàto appeared on But Can They Sing?, a celebrity reality singing competition on VH1, coming in 5th place. He competed in the 2008 NBC competition Celebrity Circus, which he won. He stated on the show that both his mother and her father were circus performers.[19]

In August 2009, Sabàto starred in My Antonio, a reality show on VH1 in which female contestants competed to win his heart. The show notably featured Sabàto's ex-wife, Tully Jensen, as one of the contestants (she came in 3rd place), and his mother also appeared on the show, providing advice. The show's winner was Brooke Barlow.[20]

Sabàto and his family appeared on ABC'sCelebrity Wife Swap on January 31, 2012. His then-fiancé Cheryl Moana Marie Nunes traded places on the show with WWE wrestler Mick Foley's wife Colette Foley. Sabàto competed on season 19 of Dancing with the Stars in 2014. He was paired with professional dancer Cheryl Burke,[21] and they finished in 8th place.[22]

Hosting[edit]

Since 2014, Sabàto has served as the host of a 30-minute long syndicatedhome remodeling show Fix It & Finish It.[23][24]

Producing[edit]

Sabàto announced that he wants to start a Hollywood movie studio geared toward conservative content. The new company is called Trail Blazers Pictures and the studio's first upcoming film, Trail Blazers, is in the works for a release in 2022.[25]

Politics[edit]

Main article: United States House of Representatives elections in California, 2018 § District 26

Sabàto ran for the 26th district Congressional seat in California as a Republican against incumbent Democrat Julia Brownley. He came in second place in the jungle primary with 22.4% of the vote, advancing to face Brownley in the general election.[26] He lost the election on November 6, 2018, by 24%.[2]

Regarding illegal immigration, Sabàto said, "There should be no shortcuts for those who don't want to pay or wait".[27] He supported Trump's wall on the southern border, saying, "We need a wall."[28]

Sabàto has made many controversial statements regarding former U.S. President Barack Obama, including saying he has "no guts," accusing him of destroying the U.S. economy, and asserting that Obama should be arrested and sent to the Guantanamo Bay detention camp.[29] The former Democrat has also implied that Obama is the reason he left the Democratic Party.[29]

For several years, Sabàto has maintained that, in his opinion, Obama is not a Christian but a Muslim.[30] The first instance of such a claim came in 2016, when Sabàto, after making a speech at the Republican National Convention, told ABC News "I don't believe he follows the God that I love and the Jesus that I love," and "If you follow his story, if you read his book, if you understand about Obama, I mean, that's not a Christian name, is it?"[31] When pressed for evidence to back up his claims, Sabàto answered that it's "in his heart."[32]

Two years later, in 2018, he reaffirmed his belief that Obama is a Muslim when appearing on The View, saying "If he's [Obama's] not a Muslim, we should call him President Barry," and claimed that "What I was saying was, he changed his name to Obama because he followed the Islam religion when he was growing up so, I felt that once you're in that religion, you stay for the rest of your life."[33][34][35]

Sabàto endorsed Donald Trump for president in 2016.[36] He spoke at the 2016 Republican National Convention in support of the party's presumptive nominee.[37] Sabàto claimed that after he expressed his support for Trump, he was blacklisted from Hollywood.[38] He later compared his struggle to find work in show business with that of being Jewish during the Holocaust and said celebrities mocked him on the social media website Twitter.[39][40]

Personal life[edit]

Sabàto was married to Tully Jensen from 1992 until 1993.[41] He married Cheryl Moana Marie Nunes in 2012.[42] The two separated in December 2016[43] and their divorce was finalized in June 2018.[44] After Sabàto filed for divorce, Nunes alleged that Sabàto was abusing prescription drugs and had failed to complete even one month of a three-month-long drug rehabilitation program. Sabàto said that he was addicted to prescription sleep aids, not benzodiazepines as Nunes claimed, but admitted that he had a problem with substance abuse in the past, specifically crystal meth.[43][45] Sabàto has three children: a son with Virginia Madsen,[46] a daughter with Kristin Rossetti Biasi,[46] and a son with Nunes.[44]

Sabàto is a Christian but has, on several occasions, said that he also identifies as being Jewish.[47][48][49][50][6] Sabàto had hormone surgery as a treatment for low levels of testosterone.[51] Sabàto has several tattoos, including the Batman logo on his lower back and the yin yang symbol surrounded by Chinese characters on his arm.[52]

In a December 2018 tweet, Sabàto stated that he and his family were in the process of moving out of California to an undisclosed state, citing his frustration with the state's progressive policies as the primary reason.[53] In March 2020, Sabàto moved to Florida, and now works for a construction company.[54]

In early 2020, Antonio announced the formation of a new studio with two possible locations, Arizona and South Carolina, for films of those being "blacklisted" due to politics and faith standings by Hollywood moguls and "elites." In 2021, he formed with two partners Trail Blazers Pictures, formerly Conflix Studios, and have made their headquarters in Tampa, Florida. The first film, Trail Blazers, is cast, funded and ready for production in Autumn 2021 with a release date set for 2022.
