Judi Hargraves — Pinecrest helped me throughout the whole process of caring for two family members in less than two months. I would recommend them to anyone in the area! Special thanks to Robin, who helped me through the confusing paperwork, and kept me updated as things proceeded.

Candy Bussell — The people that work at Pinecrest Funeral Home were the kindest people I have worked with. It is a wonderful family owened Funeral Home. None of that CORPORATE GARBAGE HERE. My name is Chris Kaduk. I am the owner and funeral director of Pinecrest Funeral Chapel. I was born and raised here in Florida. I am the son of Ted and Darby Kaduk. My father has been a Dentist in Florida for almost 40 years. My family has a long history in Florida and has always lived a life of serving others. That is one of the reasons why I became a funeral director. Most funeral directors are descendants of their own family but I found the calling back when I was in high school. I was heavily involved with my church growing up and I always wanted some kind of profession that worked with religion and helping others. My sister was getting ready to go to college (she is also a Dentist) and my father came home from work one day and asked what my future plans were. I didn’t know exactly but then he said.. “Why don’t you become a funeral director?” Looking back it was the best suggestion one could make and the best decision I ever made. What a perfect way to serve the church, help with families that are going through pain, and serve the same community my father has served for so long.

That was back in 1994. Little did I know that conversation would change my life. I got a summer job at a Funeral Home near my high school. I went to the University of Florida to get my business degree and continued to Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science in Atlanta, Georgia. While attending school at Gupton-Jones, I worked at a local funeral home in Atlanta. When I came home from college, I continued working locally at the funeral home near my high school and received my license through the State of Florida in 2002. In 2005, I met my wife Jillian who is from the Grand Rapids area of Michigan, and a veterinarian in Spring Hill, Florida. Being married to a veterinarian brings along a few furry family members. We have several cats and a yellow Labrador named Elliot. We also have a new arrival, my daughter Emmerey

Even though I have been working at funeral homes since 1994, I purchased Pinecrest in June, 2016. It took almost 22 years to achieve my dream of having my own funeral home in Spring Hill. It has been a journey that I would never look back on and I always look forward to the future. We have made a few new additions to the funeral home, such as our 1937 Ford Automobile and our new Hospitality Room.

Thank you for taking the time to look over our web site. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns that you may have. We do not have an answering service; I personally answer the phones 24 hours a day, even when I am not at the funeral home. Families are served best with direct personal contact in which all your questions can be answered anytime of the day.

Sincerely,
Chris Kaduk

Working at Grove Hill Funeral Home

Either hot water, or already a habit, but it seemed to me that this time everything went quite easily and painlessly. I shook my hips. No, it still gets in the way.
