Rebuilt Powerheads for Yamaha Outboards
Remanufactured Yamaha powerheads come with a one-year limited warranty. Core value is primarily based on the condition of your block and crankshaft.
Our prices include shipping in the continental US, including the return of your core for credit.
Note: It's important to correctly identify the problem that caused the original powerhead to fail, before installing a replacement. Otherwise, the same problem will likely destroy the new powerhead. Whenever a powerhead is rebuilt/replaced, the water pump should be replaced, carbs rebuilt, and the entire fuel and cooling systems should be inspected. Also, be sure that the ignition timing is correct. Always follow the recommended break-in procedures outlined in your manual.

Since JASPER MARINE, a division of Jasper Engines & Transmissions, entered the marine market with remanufactured stern drives in , we have continuously introduced new products that would meet the needs of boaters like you. JASPER MARINE is now pleased to introduce remanufactured outboard motor powerheads for YAMAHA applications to its line of quality remanufactured inboard and I/O engines, stern drives and outboard lower units.
Outboard motor powerheads are available for both two stroke and four stroke applications and include such four stroke models as the YAMAHA 75, 80, 90,, , , and ; and two stroke models with , , , , horsepower motors. All of the aforementioned powerheads will be available on an exchange basis.
All outboard motor powerheads are % tested for optimal performance reliability. Four stroke motors include a finishing gasket set, oil pump and screen. Cylinder heads are factory installed. The motors include the timing belt and engine timing will be set. Two stroke engines also come with factory installed heads and include the finishing gasket set. Outboard motors from JASPER MARINE are covered by a 12 Month Parts and Labor Warranty for your assurance of quality and reliability.

Yamaha rebuilt powerheads
Powerhead Reman Program
Hydro Tec Marine Performance Inc. warrants remanufactured powerheads sold to, and installed by full time, licensed marine dealers for defects in workmanship and replacement parts for 1 year beginning on the date of purchase.
Warranty is limited only to Hydro Tec warranty and does not affect manufacturer’s warranty. Replacement parts used in warranty repairs will be warranted for the balance of the warranty period. Warranty labor is reimbursed by the hourly rate established by national average of retail dealer rate. Yamaha flat rate is used to determine reimbursement. Charges for removal of the motor from the boat and or transportation to a dealership are excluded from warranty coverage.
Dealer is responsible for filling out and sending warranty form (provided by Hydro Tec) to Hydro Tec at the proper date of delivery. Form must be returned with customer and dealer signatures. Warranty is not transferable and is only valid to original purchaser. Failure to file form in a timely manner can affect warranty.
General Exclusions from Warranty: This warranty will not cover the repair of damage if the damage is a result of abuse or neglect of the product. Examples of this abuse and neglect include, but are not limited to:
- Racing or competition use, modification of original parts, abnormal strain.
- Lack of proper maintenance, improper mounting of engine, and installation of parts that are not equivalent in design and quality.
- Operation of the motor at an RPM other than specified, improper propeller selection, use of lubrication, oils, and fuel/oil mixtures that are not suitable for outboard motor use.
- Damage as a result of accidents, collisions, contact with foreign materials, or submersion.
- Growth of marine organisms on motor surface.
- Normal deterioration.
- Engines used outside of the United States.
- Detonation or any failure due to poor fuel quality, fuel delivery system, and failure to maintain or service fuel delivery system.
