Dish Out As Much Damage As You Can

Dish Out As Much Damage As You Can

The Axe is a weapon used by Slayers mainly to deal huge amounts of damage to Behemoths. Learn the Behemoth's moves and patterns, then get into position since Axe attacks are most effective when they are charged!

Maximize Attack Speed & Damage With Cells

Despite having a high attack power, the Axe is a slow weapon made even slower due to it's charging mechanic. Builds around the Axe should focus on increasing its attack speed, while also increasing its damage for maximum DPS!

High DPS & Sustain Axe Build

Increase Power & Survivability At 50% Health

This build focuses on your damage output once your health falls to 50% and below. The Perks that activate once this happens will not only increase your DPS, but will also give you the sustain you need to avoid getting downed!

Maximize Damage With Rage

The Rage perk will give you an additional 25% of damage once you hit 50% health and below. Since the Axe requires you to be in close range with the Behemoths, you can soak up damage fairly quickly to proc the Rage perk.

Cunning & Ragehunter Further Increase Your Damage

The Perks Cunning & Ragehunter will each increase your chances of landing a critical strike and damage to enraged Behemoths respectively.

Iceborne Gives You The Sustain You Need

The Iceborne perk significantly reduces the damage you take when you're at half health. It also gives you lifesteal that will heal you up to 50% of your health, meaning that it will always be active provided you do not heal yourself with consumables.

Lantern, Conduit, & Wild Frenzy Increase Attack Damage

Since the Axe is a slow weapon, Lantern & perks that compensate for its slow attack were equipped. Now charging up your attacks takes less time, and you will be able to hit targets more often!

Dauntless Tank Slayer Build Guide

This Dauntless Tank build relies on the Hunger Exotic weapon which has a unique special effect which will grant you lifesteal and attack speed at the cost of some damage over time on your health. The effect synergizes really well with some key Perks like Tough and Energized which make this build viable. If you're one of those players that are bad at dodging and just want to tank hits whilst lifestealing and dealing damage, this Dauntless Tank Slayer Build is for you to try out!

The basic playstyle of this build is that you charge up the Hunger special and use it, once you're in the lifesteal mode go and slash your opponent into pieces. In case it runs out, charge it back up and make sure to dodge hits as you'll be pretty squishy with the Hunger special off.

Builds

Weapon

The Dauntless Tank Build loadout revolves around the "Hunger" Exotic weapon which you should pair with +3 Overpower Cell and +3 Energized Cell. For the mod you need to use the Adhesive Hilt as it will work great in this build since you're always going to be in special which will make you unstaggerable.

Armor

Helmet

Light's Crown with +3 Cunning Cell and +3 Conduit Perk.

Body Armor

Gnasher Cloak with +3 Tough Cell and +3 Tough Perk.

Gloves

Light's Refuge with +3 Cunning Cell and +3 Conduit Perk

Boots

Dance of the Swarm with +3 Overpower Cell and +3 Conditioning.

Lantern

The Drask's Eye lantern is best in slot for this Dauntless Tank Build loadout because it will boost your damage which means you'll also be lifestealing a lot more. Embermane's could also be an okay choice but personally I would always run Drask's simply because it's better to deal higher damage hits with this type of a build.

Perks

This loadout achieves five Perks at maximum level and one on three which is as optimized as it gets with a Hunger weapon build. Conduit will increase you and your allies' attack speed, Cunning for critical chance and Overpower your damage against staggered behemoths. As mentioned previously, what makes this build really stand out are the Energized and Tough Perks because energized will let you charge up Hunger quicker and Tough will increase your overall defensiveness and sustain. The last perk is the level three one, Conditioning, which will grant you fifteen stamina regeneration.

    Beginner High Damage Part-Breaking Build

Focuses On Breaking Behemoth Parts & Damage-Dealing

This build supplements the Sword's capabilities in severing monster parts such as tails. Bladestorm and Sharpened amp up part-breaking damage while Evasive Fury will increase the Sword's attack speed.

Break Parts With Bladestorm & Sharpened

Bladestorm does extra part damage in every hit and amps this up extremely when you dodge after an attack. Sharpened complements this by adding more part damage per hit.

Add Attack Speed With Evasive Fury & Embermane's Rapture

In this build, your attack speed will increase when Evasive Fury is activated. Dodge through an attack to increase your attack speed for 16 seconds.

Ragehunter Deals More Damage On Enraged Behemoths

With Ragehunter activated, your attack power will increase against enraged Behemoths. This is a perfect match with part-breaking damage as you'll hit the Behemoth harder when it's enraged.
